A collective exhibition of painting, photography, drawing, and sculpture titled "Ascensão" (Ascension) was inaugurated last Friday, July 11th, in the Exhibition Room of the Oliveira do Bairro Town Hall building.
The ceremony was attended by Susana Martins, City Councilwoman, and many of the artists represented in the exhibition, among other personalities, family, and friends.
The collection, which bears the motto "Each one will always be one more, with a sense of responsibility. A world for all!" is presented by Olga Santos Galeria, in partnership with the Municipality of Oliveira do Bairro, and features works by 39 artists invited for the purpose.
According to the exhibition’s room sheet, the presented works explore the theme of Ascension, which refers to the municipal holiday of the municipality of Oliveira do Bairro, "in a comprehensive way, taking advantage of the need for us to evolve as human beings and ascend to ’A Better World,’ through Art."
The exhibition is on display until August 1st in the Exhibition Room of the Oliveira do Bairro Town Hall building, and can be visited every weekday, between 9 AM and 6 PM.
